La lutte contre cette maladie n\u00e9cessite des technologies toujours plus performantes. GenoScreen, une biotech fran\u00e7aise, propose depuis peu une nouvelle arme pour pr\u00e9dire les r\u00e9sistances aux antibiotiques des germes responsables de cette maladie. Ce nouveau test, qui se pr\u00e9sente sous la forme d\u2019un kit, d\u00e9tecte, rapidement et efficacement, dans l\u2019ADN des germes pathog\u00e8nes, les mutations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques en cause et guide les m\u00e9decins dans leurs prescriptions m\u00e9dicales. Ce test est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en phase d\u2019impl\u00e9mentation dans une trentaine de pays.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>La tuberculose, un fl\u00e9au toujours actuel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avec 10 millions de nouveaux cas par an, et 1,4 million de morts en 2019, la tuberculose reste la maladie infectieuse bact\u00e9rienne la plus mortelle au monde. Elle figure encore aujourd\u2019hui parmi les 10 premi\u00e8res causes de mortalit\u00e9 dans le monde. Parmi les maladies dues \u00e0 un agent infectieux unique, la tuberculose est celle qui est \u00e0 l\u2019origine du plus grand nombre de d\u00e9c\u00e8s (devant le VIH). Elle se soigne en utilisant de lourdes th\u00e9rapies combinant le plus souvent plusieurs antibiotiques sur de longues p\u00e9riodes (pr\u00e8s de 6 mois le plus souvent).<\/p>\n<p>La diss\u00e9mination croissante de souches tuberculeuses r\u00e9sistantes et multir\u00e9sistantes aux antibiotiques accentue la menace sanitaire dans de nombreux pays. Ces r\u00e9sistances rendent les traitements de moins en moins efficients, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 conduire \u00e0 des impasses th\u00e9rapeutiques (absence totale de solution de traitement). En 2019, plus de 200 000 cas de tuberculose r\u00e9sistante \u00e0 la rifampicine (antibiotique de 1<sup>re <\/sup>ligne utilis\u00e9 dans le traitement de cette infection) ou multir\u00e9sistante, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tect\u00e9s dans le monde, soit une augmentation de 10 % par rapport \u00e0 2018. Ces cas ne sont que la part visible de cette pand\u00e9mie, faute de moyens efficaces pour les d\u00e9tecter. L\u2019OMS, dans son rapport 2018 sur la tuberculose estime que le diagnostic pr\u00e9coce de la tuberculose et de ses possibles r\u00e9sistances aux traitements est une clef essentielle de la lutte contre la tuberculose.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deeplex<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Myc-TB, une avanc\u00e9e d\u00e9terminante pour combattre la tuberculose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ce test de pr\u00e9diction de l\u2019antibior\u00e9sistance du germe <em>Mycobacterium tuberculosis<\/em>, \u00e0 la fois, pr\u00e9cis et rapide (Les r\u00e9sultats sont obtenus en moins de 48h), tire parti des technologies de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de masse. Il ne n\u00e9cessite pas d\u2019\u00e9tape de culture pr\u00e9alable. La mise au point de ce test a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de 10.000 souches provenant de 16 pays r\u00e9partis sur les cinq continents.
