En testant plus de 5\u2009600 \u00e9chantillons d\u2019origine et de nature diverses, cette \u00e9tude mesure pour la premi\u00e8re fois la sensibilit\u00e9, la sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 et la limite de d\u00e9tection de ce test.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Avec 10 millions de nouveaux cas par an, et 1,4 million de morts en 2018<sup>1<\/sup>, la tuberculose reste la maladie infectieuse bact\u00e9rienne la plus mortelle au monde. L&rsquo;\u00e9mergence et la diss\u00e9mination de souches mycobact\u00e9riennes multir\u00e9sistantes aux antibiotiques (\u00e0 l\u2019origine de pr\u00e8s de 400\u2009000 nouveaux cas en 2018) est un probl\u00e8me mondial de sant\u00e9 publique qui complexifie la lutte contre la tuberculose.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le test Deeplex\u00ae Myc-TB permet, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son ing\u00e9nierie innovante par s\u00e9quen\u00e7age en profondeur, d\u2019\u00e9tudier simultan\u00e9ment les r\u00e9sistances \u00e0 13 classes de mol\u00e9cules antibiotiques<sup>2<\/sup> incluant les antituberculeux de 1re et de 2de intention, dont de nouvelles mol\u00e9cules. Ce test est bas\u00e9 sur l\u2019amplification et le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age cibl\u00e9 de plus de 20 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques. Il conf\u00e8re l\u2019avantage de permettre un diagnostic complet du profil d\u2019antibior\u00e9sistance et du g\u00e9notype de la bact\u00e9rie, \u00e0 partir d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon clinique, sans \u00e9tape de culture pr\u00e9alable.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans la revue m\u00e9dico-scientifique \u00ab<em> the European Respiratory journal<\/em> \u00bb<sup>3<\/sup> est la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 \u00e9valuer exhaustivement la sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9, la sensibilit\u00e9 et la limite de d\u00e9tection de ce test, sur base d\u2019un large panel de plus de 4\u2009000 souches et 1\u2009600 \u00e9chantillons cliniques.
