MIRU-VNTR typing services and kits
MIRU-VNTR typing of mycobacteria (9, 12, 15 or 24 loci)
For an extensive analyse of your mycobacteria (M. tuberculosis, M. bovis…), Genoscreen proposes strains typing by the internationally standardized MIRU-VNTR method (mycobacterial interspersed repetitive unit -variable number tandem repeat).
It is based on multi-locus analysis of tandem repeat sequences. The MIRU-VNTR markers also enables to look for the strains genetic origin. We can work on your loci combination or suggest you one.
If you wish to outsource your strains typing, there is nothing easier: send us your DNAs or your inactivated strains, we will perform the typing, and you will receive the MIRU code of your samples within a few days.
You can send us inactivated cultures, lysates (50 uL) or DNA extracts (5 uL at 100 ng/uL).

Our MIRU-VNTR typing kits represent a complete package to facilitate implementation and optimal use of MIRU-VNTR typing on Applied Biosystems® sequencers, directly in research and hospital laboratories. Our scientists also can train you in your own laboratory. Data manager software is also available.
