Genoscreen proposes a solution of microsatellites libraries creation:

  1. Production of microsatellites markers by cloning and capillary sequencing (3730XL®, Applied Biosystems®) and by high throughput pyrosequencing (GS FLX®, Roche Diagnostics®)
  2. Development and validation of microsatellites markers by fragment analysis on capillary sequencer (3730XL®, Applied Biosystems®)
  3. Genotyping of microsatellites markers by fragment analysis on capillary sequencer (3730XL®, Applied Biosystems®)

We propose the definition of the optimal PCR conditions for microsatellites analysis, the performing of multiplexed PRC, and the genotyping of the samples on capillary sequencer. We can also perform the associated analysis.

Specific applications to molecular microbiology

- Mycobacterium tuberculosis typing by the MIRU method (9, 12, 15 or 24 MIRU markers)

For the analysis of your Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains, Genoscreen offers typing from DNA extract or isolated strains on agar by the MIRU-VNTR method. This internationally standardized method is based on the multi-locus analysis of the number of tandem repeats, so for each samples, you will receive the associated MIRU code. The MIRU-VNTR markers also allow you to search for genetic strains.

Our MIRU-VNTR typing kits represent an innovative and complete package designed for facilitating implementation and optimal use of MIRU-VNTR typing on Applied Biosystems ® sequencers, directly in clinic or research labs

The calibration kit is designed for implementation and validation of MIRU-VNTR technique in user's laboratory, including Genemapper and run parameters modules, allelic ladders to define bins and validation samples.
The validation kit is made of 12 samples with a known MIRU code and a validated DNA concentration. It enables to perform regular quality controls.
